Core mechanic
Stats Explained
Every stat in Voidling Bound, what it does, and which Voidlings should stack it.
Hit Points
How much damage a Voidling can take before fainting. Higher HP = more survivability. Tanks prioritize HP above all else.
Attack
Physical damage. Affects skills that use the word "Strike", "Bite", "Slash", or "Lance". Stack ATK on physical attackers like Infernalisk.
Defense
Reduces physical damage taken. Each point of DEF reduces physical damage by ~0.4%. Tanks stack DEF and HP together.
Special Attack
Magical damage. Affects skills that use the word "Bolt", "Pulse", "Lance" (magical), or "Barrage". Stack SP.ATK on casters like Voidweaver.
Special Defense
Reduces magical damage taken. Most Voidlings should have at least 80+ SP.DEF to survive endgame magic damage.
Speed
Determines turn order in combat and movement speed in the overworld. Fast Voidlings act first. Stack SPD on assassins like Void Stalker.
How to Read a Voidling's Stats
When you look at a Voidling, you will see 6 numbers. The highest number is usually the Voidling's primary stat — the one that defines its role:
- HP 160+: Tank (Abyssalix, Coralace)
- ATK 130+: Physical attacker (Infernalisk, Void Stalker)
- SP.ATK 130+: Special attacker (Voidweaver, Arcanist)
- SPD 110+: Speedster (Voltwyrm, Void Stalker)
- Balanced: Support (Worldroot, Solaris)
A Voidling with ATK 150 and HP 60 is a glass cannon. A Voidling with HP 160 and ATK 95 is a tank. Read the stats to understand the role before you invest mutations.
