Voidling Bound Breeding Guide

Everything you need to know to breed the strongest Voidlings in the game. Tested combos, mutation rules, and the hidden gem pairings.

How Breeding Works

To start breeding, you need the Hatchery Tier 2 upgrade (10,000 Mutagen). This unlocks the second breeding pen. Each pen can hold one breeding pair at a time. Pair any two adult Voidlings, wait 4 in-game hours, and an egg will appear in the incubator.

Stat Inheritance

The child inherits 50% of each parent's base stats, rounded up. So a Void Stalker (BST 685) bred with a Solaris (BST 685) will produce a child with BST 685 ± variance. Variance ranges from -5% to +5%, so always reroll if the result is below the parents' average.

Mutation Inheritance

Each parent has up to 4 mutation slots. The child has a 25% chance to inherit each parent's first mutation, a 12.5% chance for the second, 6.25% for the third, and 3.125% for the fourth. To maximize inheritance, only breed Voidlings with the mutations you want in slots 1 and 2.

The Top 3 Endgame Breeding Combos

Shadowed Light

S-Tier

Void Stalker + Solaris

Single-target DPS

Highest single-target DPS in the game. Void Stalker's crit scaling stacks with Solaris's anti-Shadow passive — but Shadowed Light is also the best hybrid against Light bosses, a niche nobody else fills.

Burning Forest

S-Tier

Worldroot + Infernalisk

Hybrid DPS / Support

The only build that can both heal the team and out-DPS dedicated attackers. The Burning Forest passive creates a permanent burning ground that heals allies for 0.5% HP/sec and damages enemies for 15 SP.ATK/sec.

Voidcaller

A-Tier

Voidweaver + Abyssalix

AoE Nuker / Tank

The Voidcaller build pairs Voidweaver's Mana Tide passive with Abyssalix's Hard Carapace. The result is a tanky AoE nuker that ignores mana-drain fields and survives the Arcane Architect's Phase 2 debuff.

Hidden Gem Combos

These combos are not on any major tier list, but we tested them and they outperform several "meta" picks:

Stormfang

Voltwyrm + Frostfang

Electric + Ice hybrid. Stormbite always crits wet targets, and Frostfang's Permafrost applies freeze to every third hit. The two stack — the freeze window gives Voltwyrm free crits. Best budget pick for Act II.

Sunfire

Luminoth + Emberpup

Light + Fire hybrid. Sunfire's passive is "Radiant Burn" — burning enemies take 30% extra damage from Light attacks. Outperforms Infernalisk on the Ashen Colossus fight specifically.

Tidecaller

Tidefin + Voltwyrm

Water + Electric hybrid. The passive "Storm Surge" doubles Chain Surge damage during rain. Outperforms Abyssalix on the Tide Warden fight.

Sparkfang

Sparkrat + Frostfang

The single best budget pick in the game. SP.ATK + crit scaling make it competitive with Void Stalker at 1/3 the breeding cost.

What to Avoid

Some combos look promising but are traps:

  • Arcanist + Tidefin — wastes Voidweaver's mana scaling on a magic-focused Voidling with no mana regen support. The stats are wasted.
  • Two of the same species — the child is identical to the parents. No upside.
  • Shadeling + anything — the base form has weak stats. Breed with the mid or final form instead.
  • Final form + final form — the child is still a base form. You're downgrading your roster for one breeding cycle.
